The LY-3200 High-Speed Semi-Automatic Two-Piece Folder Gluer Machine is engineered for large-format, high-capacity corrugated carton production, combining structural rigidity with flexible semi-automatic workflow. It is designed for manufacturers requiring frequent job changeovers, diversified carton structures, and stable mid-to-high volume output. Built on a reinforced 6.5-ton heavy-duty frame with a footprint of 10500 × 4100 × 1600 mm, the machine ensures long-term operational stability under continuous industrial conditions while supporting carton sizes up to 1600 × 1600 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of large and complex packaging applications.

Core Structure and Working Principle

The LY-3200 adopts a hybrid semi-automatic architecture that integrates automated front-end processing with flexible multi-operator finishing. Feeding, alignment, and adhesive application are fully controlled by multi-axis servo systems to ensure high-speed and stable handling of large corrugated sheets. After processing, finished blanks are transferred to a multi-station discharge area where folding, pressing, and squaring are completed in parallel by operators. This structure significantly improves production efficiency while avoiding the rigidity of fully automated systems and eliminating bottlenecks commonly found in manual workflows.

Human–Machine Synergy and Application Flexibility

Rather than pursuing full automation, the LY-3200 concentrates its 9 kW drive system on precision front-end operations to ensure stable performance when processing heavy, thick, or irregular materials. It is particularly suitable for double-wall corrugated cartons, irregular die-cut packaging, custom structural boxes, and short-to-medium batch production environments where flexibility and frequent changeovers are required. Operator-assisted finishing enables a balanced human–machine workflow, improving adaptability while maintaining consistent output quality.

Feeding System

The feeding system is designed as a dual-stack high-capacity structure capable of handling stack heights up to 450 mm. It supports a wide range of sheet formats from 1600 × 1600 mm down to 350 × 200 mm, ensuring strong adaptability across different production requirements. Independent servo suction provides stable sheet separation and feeding performance even with warped or heavy corrugated materials, maintaining continuous and accurate material input during high-speed operation.

Gluing and Merging System

The gluing system integrates hot melt and cold adhesive application through a synchronized roller mechanism, enabling a single-pass bonding process that combines immediate tack with long-term adhesion strength. Pre-positioning alignment improves assembly accuracy and reduces splicing deviation. The merging system utilizes dual servo-driven belts with photoelectric tracking to achieve precise seam alignment with zero scissoring effect. Pressure rollers with wear-resistant coating stabilize bonding performance while reducing vibration during continuous operation.

Discharge and Multi-Station Workflow

After merging, finished cartons are transferred to a multi-station discharge system designed for parallel operator processing. This layout allows multiple operators to perform folding, pressing, and squaring simultaneously, significantly increasing throughput without adding mechanical complexity. It is particularly effective for oversized cartons that require manual handling support, enabling a smoother and more efficient post-processing workflow.

Control System and Mechanical Structure

The machine is equipped with an industrial-grade PLC control system and HMI touchscreen interface, supporting multi-axis servo synchronization, job memory storage, fast format switching, real-time monitoring, and fault alarm functions. Parameter-based recipe management ensures repeatable production consistency across different orders. Structurally, the 6.5-ton reinforced welded frame provides excellent vibration resistance and long-term alignment stability, while the modular mechanical design simplifies maintenance and ensures durable performance under continuous industrial load.
